Ethereal Event Co About Us and Why Starfall Ball-

Introduction:

Hello! I am Lexa, founder of Ethereal Event Co, I have been planning events for just over 14 years. Starting Ethereal Event Co after just missing out on purchasing tickets for Starfall Ball on the East Coast. I was perturbed, I had been talking about it for weeks- I got on nine minutes after the tickets went live and I missed them. I decided I couldn’t wait and thought to myself- you know what? This is the push I need to take a leap of faith in myself and my passion, thus Ethereal Event Co was born. Out of desperation to celebrate my favorite series- to dress up and immerse myself in the world on a physical level, above my already mental immersion.

It is important to me to be able to live authentically- bringing forth my best self. I believe that in doing so we elevate the world as a whole.

Why a Fantasy Book Ball?
To make my debut event Starfall Ball is fitting- my love for ACOTAR runs deep- I have read the series through one time, listened through the series twice and I am halfway through ACOMAF on my third listen through. The story and characters are there for me when I need an escape, to feel comfort, while I habit stack folding laundry/cleaning/etc. I’m grateful for the books, they really have given me a beautiful experience and I can’t wait to add to that with our memories of Starfall Ball.

From a young age I’ve been a voracious reader. I was first introduced to Harry Potter at the age of eight. I remember walking into the library at the elementary school and finding book 3, I came home to tell my parents that I had finally found it! And ofc I am just as obsessed as everyone else. I read book 3 and then being the Virgo I am I read book 2, book 1 and then I read them all in order several times over (3x total) before the movies came out. I was off and running from there- immersing myself in fantasy worlds. The next series that I can remember vividly is twilight. Some of my best memories are tied to fantasy books and the world that is built by amazing authors. In my adult life I have been introduced to Dan Brown, Michael Crichton, SJM, Jennifer Armentrout, Leigh Bardugo and my world has expanded over and over again.

I am grateful for the lives I live through reading and the experiences afforded to me in books.

Why Event Planning?
I’ve been planning parties with the help of my mom for as long as I can remember. Pizza parties with the whole neighborhood, celebrating the beginning of summer, the kickoff to winter break, snow days filled with sledding and hot chocolate. I imagine it had a lot to do with why I went to school for hotel, resort and hospitality management here at SUU. Planning events with my class was a highlight- the details that need sorting out, the hustle and bustle of planning and executing the catering, touring venues and leading people on a journey curated to illicit feelings and create memories I live for.

Everything is falling into place for Starfall Ball, just as I anticipate. It is getting more intertwined with the series, different aspects are popping up and utilizing my local resources here in Cedar City to bring this experience to you all is everything I have dreamed of for a long time…. So, to the people who look at the stars and wish…
